ZFI fellows Hamid, Ummul get second highest marks in Civil Services interview 2017

Two successful ZFI Fellows Syed Fakhruddin Hamid and Ummul Kher have obtained second highest marks in Civil Services interview 2017 – in whole of India.

Last year ZFI’s Zainab Sayeed had obtained highest marks in Interview at all-India level.

This year 16 ZFI Fellows have been successful as per UPSC Civil Services result declared on 31.05.2017. These candidates will now join their training soon in national academies at Mussoorie, Hyderabad and Nagpur.

Taking into account the latest result, since 2009 so far, has been able to send its 77 candidates to the country’s premier Civil Services.

This included Kashmir’s Shah Faesal who stood first in India in 2010 and many other position holders in various years.

Zakat Foundation of India had established its Sir Syed Coaching & Guidance Centre in New Delhi in 2007. Its chairman, also the Foundation’s pioneer Dr Syed Zafar Mahmood is a former civil servant. During 2005-2007 was appointed OSD by PM Manmohan Singh and on government’s behalf looked after the Justice Sachar Committee.

Earlier he worked as First Secretary (Haj) in Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia and later as Administrator of combined Waqf Board of Punjab, Haryana, HP and Chandigarh.

ZFI’s expansion plan of its civil services project is on the anvil.
