Zeenat dies of dengue in Jamia Nagar

Another death due to dengue related complications took place in Okhla. According to close family friends of the victim Zeenat Beghum, resident of Abul Fazal Enclave, died of dengue on Sunday.

Zeenat, 40, wife of Shamshad Mansoori, is survived with two children. After suffering from dengue related complications she was hospitalized and later on she was admitted to another hospital in the city where she died, claimed family sources.

She was laid to rest in Batla House graveyard.

This is not the first death due to dengue in the locality. Since the outbreak of the disease several residents have died due to the vector-borne disease, said residents, adding that they have now lost the death count. Though officials have claimed only a few deaths, local residents who have been keeping tab on the incident, said more than 30 residents have died due to dengue a claim that OKHLATIMES.COM was unable to verify independently.

Besides deaths, a large number of residents are down with fever with hospitals house full. A resident Faiyaz Ahmad, who suffered from high fever and other symptoms, said on Sunday he went to several local hospitals to get himself admitted but could not find seat. Now, he is waiting for his report.
