Zakir Nagar writer scoops award. Anwarul Haque wrote: “Received award from the minister of language and culture Government of Delhi Kapil Mishra, secretary Health Anil Bajpeyi and the popular poet of Urdu Dr Majid Deobandi on May 20.”

Anwarul, a pass out from a madarsa in Bhiar, lives in Zakir Nagar and recently has written a novel that has been translated into several languages. Though he has good command of Urdu, he teaches English too at a local coaching institute. Besides, Anwarul is guest faculty at Jamia.
