“As I went to offer prayer, he just got out after ten minutes and made his way.”
Zain said the imam told him that the same man has stolen shoes thrice in a week and his picture was captured earlier too.
The imam told him that how another man, who had come to offer namaz lost his Rs 4,000 shoes and in that case the suspicion is towards the man.

Stealing of shoes form mosque is nothing new in the locality with several devotees complaining about it.
A few months ago, fed up with regular stealing of inverter battery from mosque, some residents had distributed leaflets and posters in the locality of the man, who was captured committing the theft on CCTV.
Then the man was arrested from Shaheen Bagh after a few days. Residents lamented that professional gangs are operative in the locality who steal shoes from mosques during prayer time.
