Taj Mahal is in danger not from the humans but from bugs from the stagnant water of Yamuna. Reports suggest that one of the wonders of the world is fast decaying and if the cause of the attack by bugs not found and addressed situation could get out of hand.
After coming to know about the green pigmentation on the white marble of the iconic monument, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has directed officers to find solution to the problem.
“The CM has asked Agra Divisional Commissioner, District Magistrate, Public Works Department (PWD), Archeology and pollution board officials to soon trace the factors behind the problem and find a solution,” a Government spokesman said.
“The Samajwadi Party Government will do whatever is possible to protect and conserve the world famous monument and its beauty,” the CM said. As per media reports, patches of green pigmentation have surfaced on the Taj Mahal’s marble engravings marring the beauty of the monument, reported PTI.
