Women’s Manifesto, Department of Social Work, University of Delhi and Human Welfare Foundation are jointly organised a day long event, Women’s Leadership Summit at Department of Social Work, University of Delhi on Saturday, 8th April, 2017.

The event was inaugurated by Swati Maliwal, Chairperson of Delhi Commission for Women. She said “the system should be changed and be transparent to ensure safety and security of women in the capital”.

“Even the Commission is not getting proper information of victims from police and other authority. NGOs and activities are denied of information by various departments. The “system” shunned of transparency is raping victims who remain perpetually oppressed, unaware of their rights and legal proceedings. Delay in the legal process and punishment is supportive to culprits not victims. Struggle of Delhi Commission for Women is relevant in these dark times where the legal framework has failed to meet its aims,” she said.
