Woman dies on Eid-al Adha in Jamia Nagar.

A woman died on Saturday on Eid-al Adha in Jamia Nagar, according to residents. A resident, who resides in the same lane in Abul Fazal Encalve, said it was in the afternoon when the condition of the woman deteriorated.

She was rushed to Holy Family Hospital and the woman around 62 years old died on way to the hospital, said the resident. Grieved family members could not be contacted, but the resident who knows the family well said Md Qayyum’s mother died at 3 pm.

The family belongs from Uttar Pradesh.

Another resident said: “In the afternoon we were busy with sacrifice work when a family member rushed to us and informed that her mother’s condition has deteriorated. She was unwell for some time and was undergoing treatment. She was rushed to Holy Family Hospital and died on the way.”

The death has come just a day after reports had surfaced of a man named Riaz dying of heart attack in Abul Fazal Enclave. “Riaz was a driver of a Jamaat-e-Islami Hind member. He hailed from Bihar and was known to many people in the locality as he also used to drive auto,” said Nasimur Rahman, who also hails from his village in Bihar.
