Vigil by agencies upped to control pollutants

The concentration of particulate matter is lower than the values observed in 2016 during the period between January 1 and January 29. The concentration of different pollutants, specially, particulates and their trend along with the fog was discussed.

Imran Hussain, Minister of Environment & Forest, Govt. of NCT of Delhi called a meeting of officers of Department of Environment and DPCC. Secretary (Environment), Govt. of Delhi and Member Secretary (DPCC) attended the meeting.

The present air quality status has been reviewed and implementation of the directions issued by the Courts in the recent past.

Hussain stressed upon the need for keeping surveillance and vigil by the concerned agencies in order to control Ambient Air Quality. The Minister also observed that since night temperature is going down, stress needs to be given to control the garbage and biomass burning.
