Illegal parking on roadside is a big nuisance in the locality. Moreover, with mushrooming workshop on roadsides half of the road has been occupied illegally making vehicles’ movement a difficult thing at times.
Also, it leads to traffic jam in Abul Fazal Enclave as it is usual to see mechanics fixing fault of cars on road.
A few months ago, some residents had launched a campaign convincing workshop owners to remove cars from roadside with little positive impact.
Many old cars in bad shape are also seen parked illegally on the road for years with owners untraceable.
“The parking situation is really bad. The locality is getting overcrowded with cars parked on the roadside. At times this lead to traffic snarls too in the locality. But residents are least bothered and life is going on as usual,” said Noushu Ali.
Many residents strongly feel that a campaign should be launched to free road of illegal parked vehicles, mushrooming workshops and roadside eateries and shops in the locality.
