UPDATE: Image of NDMC lawyer shot dead in Johri Farm: MM Khan, 57, a respected lawyer who was shot dead by two unidentified assailants in Southeast Delhi’s Johri Farm in Okhla on Monday is to be buried in Batla House graveyard, according to his family friends.A legal advisor with the NDMC for the last five years, Khan was killed motor-bike miscreants around 7:40 pm when he was returning to his home in his Swift Dzire. His family told police that he had been receiving calls from unknown people during odd hours of the day. Khan is survived by his wife and three daughters. His eldest daughter is an MBBS student. Khan used to reside in the D-block of Johri Farm.
“We will look at the CCTV cameras installed on the stretch through which Khan drove before he was shot. We will trace the registration of motorcycle used in the attack. It looks a case of personal enmity,” said an investigating officer.
Local residents are shocked with the incident. The sudden rise in crime, including murder, theft, snatching and building qabza, has left many residents deeply upset.
