Gang trafficking Nepalese girls busted; 1 held from Sarai Julena

Traffickers lure young girls by promising them better life. And this is what four people have been allegedly found doing, luring young girls and boys from Nepal. However, their gang got busted as the Crime Branch of Delhi Police succeeded in nabbing four people on alleged charges of trafficking girls from Nepal by promising them jobs in other countries. Of them three turned out to be Nepalese nationals, according daily reports.

Also, one person was arrested from Sarai Julaina.

The incident of trafficking only came to the fore after three girls managed to flee from the clutches of the traffickers and then a complaint was filed. During investigation it was known that the traffickers used to lure girls on the pretext of providing them jobs in New Zealand.

“A raid was conducted at their Sagarpur house and Khadka, Nira and Fauji were arrested. Six Nepalese passports were also seized. They confessed to have hatched a conspiracy with Raj and Purnima of Sarai Jullena, New Friends Colony, to earn money on the pretext of sending people abroad,” said Ravindra Yadav, joint commissioner (crime), adding that Purnima was later arrested and a laptop and four passports were seized from her.

“The girls were called for an interview in different hotels in Kathmandu. Raj collected Rs 8 -Rs10 lakh from each of them and asked to contact John Khadka in Delhi for visa and other formalities,” said Yadav.
