Okhla girl hurt as bag snatching turns ‘violent’ in Abul Fazal

Snatching incidents are taking place from time to time with some residents reporting about it and many just ignoring it. In one such incident that took place with two girls a few months ago in Abul Fazal Enclave, the snatching turned a bit “violent” with the girl claiming that she was hurt and was in pain for days.

“I was coming with my friends from Bansal Hospital (NFC) to my PG which is located in Abul Fazal Enclave. Suddenly two boys came on black bike. Both were wearing helmets. We were sitting on electric rikshaw. They snatched our hand bag very forcibly. (All my original documents, including voter ID, aadhaar card, pan card, 2 ATMs and 2 Android phones were in my bag,” she wrote.

The girl got traumatized with the incident and for days they didn’t go out of their PG for fear of being attacked. The girl said on the condition of anonymity that the snatching incident went on for a few moments that night on the road as she was in no mood to give up. But the snatcher used extra force to snatch the bag and in this incident my wrist got hurt, said the victim, adding that she had to get medical care.
