A waterlogged road in Shaheen Bagh for months is causing hardship to residents. Following which residents lamented that now they prefer staying inside as getting out is an arduous task.
Local resident Md Ansar said the situation has been like this for more than 11 months in the locality. It is understood that the water recedes at times to come back later on or after the rain.
“Residents are furious and don’t know what to do as they have exhausted all means to get t things address. The road connects blocks C, D and G in Shaheen Bagh and is nearby by Tayyab masjid Road. With such a situation, people think twice to invite guests to their houses,” he said.
As the situation has prevailed for months, it appears that residents who live in expensive flats have become habituated to the situation. Little efforts are made from their side too to find a permanent solution to the burning issue. And with chances of dengue and chikungunya outbreak fear high due to waterlogging several residents, including local Congress leader Md Ansar, are hyper ventilating.
Moreover, activists have also been sharing photos of the waterlogged and broken roads with little impact.
Also, Md Ansar shared a few photos.
