Shaheen Bagh man robbed at gunpoint of Rs 35K

For those who think that Jamia Nagar is safe and they can move around even at night time this story could be an eye-opener.

In a complaint to police, a Shaheen Bagh resident Mohd Shariq wrote: “I was going to my home in Shaheen Bagh at 2:40 am. I took the Yamuna road. And as I passing through the road two people stopped me at Yamuna. And put a local pistol on my head. The two people were on motorbike. They took my purse in which there were my things, including Pan Card, bank card and other items. They took out Rs 35,000 from my left pocket. I can recognize them if I see them again. Please take right action. I was not hurt in the incident,” he said.

The incident took place on April 2.

Cases of snatching by youths on motorbike are on the rise. A few weeks ago, a girl had complained about how she became victim of snatchers. Narrating her story, she had said the incident took place with her in Abul Fazal Enclave when she was on an e-rickshaw with two other friends. Shockingly, according to her, the boy who was travelling with them on the e-rickshaw turned out to be a snatcher. okhlapolls
