Technology has its good as well bad side. Since the arrival of smartphone one thing that has gone crazy is taking selfie. And from time to time reports of surfaced of how selfie love has landed people in trouble. The case in point is story of Arbaaz, who came under a speeding train, while trying to take a selfie near a railway station, reported a daily.
The incident was reported on Monday at 11 am, said police adding that after quizzing eyewitnesses it has come to their knowledge that the teenager, a Class XII student and resident of Loha Mandi in Welcome area, was taking selfie near Shahdara Railway tracks when the accident took place.
However, the minor boy’s family claimed foul play. They are alleging role of Arbaaz six friends behind the death. It has been reported that the victim had gone out with his six friends allegedly carrying DSLR cameras. “Before the train ran over the boy, the temple priest had warned the group of boys not to stand on the railway tracks,” reported The Pioneer.
“Since it was October 2, Gandhi Jayanti, Arbaaz left home to spend time with his friends. At around 12.30 pm, we got information about a boy getting crushed under the wheels of a train near the Shahdara railway tracks,” said a senior police officer, reported the daily.
After getting information about the incident, the police team zipped to the spot. By then the victim was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. Police said that case has been registered with the Old Delhi Railway police.
“At the crime spot, we did not find the mobile phone of the deceased. We are probing the matter from all angles,” said a senior police officer. Arbaaz body was handed over to his family on Tuesday after post-mortem examination.
