Scooterist hit by Gramin Seva in Okhla

A scooterist was hit by a Gramin Seva in Okhla’s Abul Fazal Enclave today, resulting in heating debate between a few people, according to eyewitnesses.

A resident said the scooter’s wheel got struck in the Gramin Seva and it appeared that the accident happened due to rash driving or effort to take over other. Though nobody was hurt in the accident, but the youth on the scooter with an old man were seen arguing with the Gramin Seva. This is not a first accident in the locality and residents have been lamenting that increasing Gramin Seva and e-rickshaws have only led to chaos on the roads with road accidents on the rise.

On Friday after a minor accident at Okhla Head in which a biker had hit a cyclist, a brawl had taken place. Though no violence took place but the men on bike forcefully took away the poor cyclist’s passbook that he was carrying with him.

Residents and passersby too stepped in to diffuse the tension.

A few days ago another road accident had taken place at Okhla Head in which a woman had slapped the car driver for hitting the bike she was riding on.

In one such road accident, a woman pedestrian had died after being hit by a biker in AFE.
