Saluting the nation and its freedom fighters on the 70th Independence Day schoolchildren celebrated Independence Day in Jamia Nagar.
On this occasion children showcased a colourful spectacle of India’s vision through their performance.
The celebration began at 8.00 AM with the arrival of the guest in a local school.
This was followed by the flag hoisting ceremony and the national anthem.Thereafter the programme began with the singing of patriotic song by schoolchildren followed by the musical ballet depicting different facets of our glorious freedom struggle.
All the students participated enthusiastically with great zeal. Students of classes III-V also recited poems on flag, freedom fighters and nation. Some of them were dressed in clothes like Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev, Mahatma Gandhi and Chacha Nehru to remember and pay homage to those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the nation. Students of classes IV and V performed skit in Hindi showcasing the trials and tribulations of the freedom fighters.
Extending Independence Day greetings to students, teachers and staff, asked them to commit themselves to the growth of the nation. Mustajab Khan expressed his happiness over the students’ enthusiasm on the occasion of Independence Day.
At the end, Khan congratulated and motivated the students and encouraged them to follow the path of great freedom fighters. Finally, the programme ended with the distribution of refreshment to all participants present in the celebration.
