JDU’s Sarwar Iqbal Khan tears into AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan and sitting councillor over dengue deaths and garbage dump.
Launching an all-round attack on sitting councillor and the ruling Aam Aadmi Party, he said: “Both didn’t care for the voters and they have turned the ward into a garbage dump.”
“Why is it that most of the dengue cases are reported only from Okhla? Why did the sitting councillor and the MLA awake when our nearest and dearest ones were losing lives?” he asked.
Earlier in the day, a massive rally was organised today in support of Sarwar Iqbal Khan, JD(U) councillor candidate from ward number 102 S Abul Fazal Enclave, according to his supporters.
The rally, originated from JD(U) office at 40-feet road in Shaheen Bagh, was attended by large number of people, passing through different blocks in Shaheen Bagh and Abul Fazal Enclave , Okhla Head and Canal Colony, said TM Haque, adding that the huge show of strength finally ended at the same office.
Thanking his supporters and people at large, Khan said: “The success of the rally and its huge turnout is a sign that voters of the ward want a change and they are fed up with tall promises made by political parties and their dilly-dally in taking up developmental projects.”
Urging voters to cast their valuable votes in his favour, Khan pledged he will leave no stone unturned to make his ward clean and green.
Given the response of people, Khan concludes, he is confident of his victory.
