Sarai Jullena case solved: One foreigner held; hunt on for absconding one

Reports have surfaced of two foreigners who after running out of cash used their hypnosis skills to dupe people at hospitals, money changing offices and transport offices.

However, their luck ran out a few days ago at Sarai Jullena where they had turned up with the intention to cheap people so that they could raise enough money for tickets to fly back to their homes.

But they failed in their endeavour as police that were keeping strict vigil on the activities of such people in and nearby area of Escort Hospital laid their hands on one of them.

The arrested one is from Iran.

“Two young foreign nationals came to for money change at Sarai Jullena and diverted the attention of attendant, continuously and eventually succeeded in stealing 200 Dollars in cash but alert complainant realised it very soon and apprehended one foreigner and recovered the stolen dollars from his possession. In the mean time, other accused managed to flee away. Search of other accused Mohd. Amir Razzak is being made,” said police.

The sustained interrogation of the accused revealed that they are professional cheat/thief and involved in many such cases earlier in other countries. But in India, they came first time on tourist visa 40 days back and stayed in a Hotel in Karol Bagh Delhi. They tried to change the Hotel every 5-6 days.
