Struggle for a decent living by braveheart Md Sajid.

braveheartsajidMd Sajid is different from other rickshaw pullers in Okhla. And one can only find out the difference when one gets close to his rickshaw. He pulls his rickshaw his one hand as he lost his other hand in an accident years ago in his hometown UP’s Muzaffarnagar.

He told OT.COM that he lost his hands some ten years ago when it had gone under a machine in his hometown. After that unfortunate incident Md Sajid, who is 35 years old as he claimed, didn’t give up and for a decent living he started pulling rickshaw.

He said he came to Jamia Nagar two years ago and since then has been involved in the arduous task to pull the rickshaw. His story moved many residents, who appreciated his brave move.

“I salute this man. There are many who start begging, but Md Sajid struggled for a decent living and just see he is involved in an arduous task of pulling a rickshaw. He is a role model for me,” said Naseem Ur Rahman.

It is not known how much money does Md Sajid earns from pulling the rickshaw, but he appeared satisfied with his work. Residents said they have seen another man pulling rickshaw with one hand, whose story was once carried by OT.COM.
