After ‘Rs 12L loss’, eatery FKC struggles to bounce back

It was a few weeks ago when reports had surfaced of eatery FKC’s new outlet being demolished close by Noam Chomsky Complex. Following the demolition of the outlet, FKC is back in a small place where it was placed before being shifted to the new building.

FKC owner Faisal told OT.COM that business is not as it was there. “We lost Rs 12 lakh that we used to refurbish the outlet. We had no idea that the land had issue. Here we are struggling to build our business. Sales are not as good as it was there because there was a lot of space and business had just started to pick up when the unfortunate situation took place,” he said.

FKC meteoric rise as an eatery in the locality has taken many by surprise. It all started a few years ago when an outlet was opened near Tikona Park. And as its popularity started growing it saw competitors too in that area. Over a short period of time, several eateries opened up near Tikona Park and FKC kept on moving from one place to another.

It was only a few weeks ago when many of its regular customers were delighted to see it moving in a big outlet. But things turned sour for the eatery as the land was demolished and the FKC was hit hard.
