Robbers loot Rs 2.5 lakh worth gold, cash from Joga Bai house

Robbers loot Rs 2.5 lakh worth gold, cash from Joga Bai house: In a late night theft that took place in Joga Bai, robbers succeeded in looting Rs 2.5 lakh worth gold and Rs 40,000 cash, according to Mahmood Ahmed, who also shared the photo of the event on his timeline.

In a social post, he mentioned that at about 12 am robbers targeted a house in Joga Bai and decamped with cash and jewellery.

He wrote that police from local police station turned up and later from Delhi Crime Branch to crack the case. “To avoid big loss it is my kind request from residents that during holiday when the go for their hometown they should not leave behind gold and cash in their houses. It is better suggested to put them in locker so that they are safe,” wrote Mahmood.

Cases of theft have increased in the locality of late. A few days ago a flat in Jamia Nagar was targeted when the mother had gone to pick up her child. It is understood that the robbers took away all valuable items. Residents lamented that increase in such cases have left them baffled.

A few months ago more than six shops were targeted at night in Okhla from Zakir Nagar to Abul Fazal Enclave to Shaheen Bagh. The most surprising thing is that cases are not being cracked.

Police could not contacted for their version. As this report is collated from the social media feed OKHLATIMES was not able to speak to Mahmood as he didn’t pick up the phone to confirm the incident.
