This is what Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan wrote on his timeline and also shared this information with OKHLATIMES.COM:
OKHLATIMES.COM was not able to independently verify the amount to be spent on the project. Also many residents are not sure when work to build bad roads in Jamia Nagar will begin. Many residents lamented that several roads are in really bad shape that commuting on them is full of hardship.
The worst patch of road is one that connects Okhla Head to Batla House, said residents, adding that there are many parts in Jamia Nagar where waterlogging is a regular thing even in summer and winter. To get things addressed some activists too had held protest in the locality but with little positive impact. The only road that has been built in Batla House is the one that is under the metro.
Residents are looking towards the PWD to pave roads in the locality and make life easy for residents.
