Road rage: Woman teaches lesson to ‘rogue’ driver at Okhla Head

A road rage incident took place at Okhla Head a few minutes ago. Eyewitnesses said the woman who was travelling on a bike fell down after a four-wheeler hit the bike from the front. “Actually, the young driver was trying to back the vehicle at Okhla Head and chances are high that he didn’t see the biker coming from behind and the vehicle banged into the bike. Following which the woman fell down.

“She got up angrily and slapped the driver hard. Other residents, including passersby too rushed to the spot, to pacify the driver and the woman,” residents were heard talking among themselves after the incident was over and the driver and woman went their way.

Nobody was hurt in the minor accident, claimed eyewitnesses. Many residents were shocked at the courage shown by the woman, said eyewitnesses. Road rage incidents have seen an increase in the locality with rogue bikers making life difficult for residents at times.

A few months ago a biker had hit a woman at Abul Fazal Enclave, who was rushed to a local hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. Residents lamented that at times sever underage boys are seen driving vehicles flouting the law. In one such case a year ago a doctor was beaten up by rogue drivers after he had failed to give them pass on AFE road.

Moreover, several road accidents have been reported on AFE-Kalindi Kunj road after divider was put as there are several dark spots and drivers find it extremely difficult to commute on the stretch of the road.
