On Monday residents saw media vehicles parked in Abul Fazal Enclave, a few metres from the house where slain NIA officer Mohd Tanzil Ahmad has been living for the last fifteen years.
Moreover, large number of reporters too turned up to gauge the mood of the residents, family members and relatives.
It is understood that local leaders too made beeline to the house since morning to express their grief over the gory killing of Tanzil, also an alumnus of Jamia Millia Islamia.
Meanwhile, the PTI reported that several agencies are involved in probing the officer’s murder. Uttar Pradesh Inspector General of Police (Public Grievances) A Mutha Jain said all angles were being probed by several agencies, including Delhi Police. “Monitoring of the case is being done at high-level, but we are not in a position to share any information. When we have something concrete we will share,” he told the PTI.
Tanzil’s wife is under observation in a hospital and is said to be in critical conditions.
