Ramzan 2017: This mosque in Okhla makes special arrangements for women devotees.

As Ramzan 2017 begins from Sunday in India and with Tarawih prayers starting from tonight, a mosque in Okhla has made special arrangements for women devotees.

“To adjust more women for Tarawih some special arrangements have been made like the area of the mosque has been covered and fans have been put in the temporary makeshift. This time around 750 women can be easily adjusted. Also, toilet and wadu khana for women have been built,” said Athar Karim Qidwai.

With Ramzan arriving, large number of women devotees of Okhla turn up to the mosque to offer Tarawih. Also, they arrive to offer Friday pray in the mosque that is run and managed by Jamaat-e-Islami (Hind).

The mosque is undergoing expansion so as to adjust more devotees during Ramzan, Eid and Friday prayer, according to sources. The construction work is going on in high speed. Sources said in the first phase the mosque will get its new basement in the first phase of the construction.
