Protest rally in Okhla seeks justice for activist

Protest rally in Okhla seeks justice for activist. Association of Intellectual Indian Muslims–AIIM, and Okhla Vikas Manch jointly organised protest against rising incidents of criminal offences in and around Okhla. March started from 40 feet road, Shaheen Bagh and concluded at police station, Jamia Nagar, according to the groups’ release.

Since the murder, theft and land grabbing incidents are all time high in Okhla these days, people are highly enraged, wrote T M Zeyaul Haque, General Secretary AIIM.

The March was led by Sarwar Iqbal Khan, President of the AIIM, Mohammed Muslim All india Tanzeem E Insaf and Ashu Khan.

AIIM president Sarwar Iqbal Khan cited the recent murder of MM Khan NDMC lawyer in Johri Farm, and incident of attempt to murder on journalist cum social activist Parvez Muhammad. AIIM president also demanded immediate arrest of the culprits, and demanded strict action against land mafia’s and local criminals.

Md Muslim of AITEI condemned this incident and termed it as most unfortunate incident.

Activists Syed Taseer, Arshad Ali, Vakil johri, Mohammad Firoz, Arshad Ali, Arif Raza Khan and others participated in the event, said Haque.
