Rain cools Delhi; Okhlaiites take out blankets

The weather has changed after shower in the national Capital with Okhla also receiving its share of rain in the evening.

The rain has brought the temperature down with many Okhla residents taking out their blankets that they had put aside because of the rise in temperature in the last few days.

If some called the weather pleasant, several residents termed it cold coming back. “I went outside for an evening walk without wearing pullover. It was when in the open I was literally shivering and realised that I made a mistake. The weather is oscillating between pleasant and bit cold. Children and elderly should take care as chances of them falling ill are high during such a season,” said a resident Rozy Khanam.

Other residents too felt the same way and said they have taken out their blankets that only a few days ago they had packed it thinking that summer has come.

Earlier in the day, the weathermen had predicted of rain in the city. It has been termed as pre-monsoon rain in Delhi and other parts of the country, including Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad.

In Patna too, residents said weather is changing with cold windy air sweeping the city.
