In a letter written to OKHLATIMES.COM, Jamia Nagar resident Ibrahim Usmani wrote: “While it is good that the masjid is being extended, however all the mud and construction material is being put at the entry/exit point of the Milli Times Street giving inconvenience to the residents who go for praying as they have to take a long route via Alshifa Hospital…”
Later he told the portal that the Jamaat-E-Islami Hind has all the right to build the mosque but extra care need to be taken for devotees, especially elderly, who visit the mosque to offer prayer.
OKHLATIMES.COM has reported a few days ago that how work for about Rs 8 crore mosque’s expansion has expedited. Several small buildings have been demolished to make way for the mosque that is being expanded to adjust more devotees during Friday prayer and festivals time. The mosque is to build in phase-wise, according to insiders.

Moreover, it is the only religious organization in the locality that has kept its door open for residents in the locality, pointed out a devotee, adding that in the morning and at night time, several residents are seen walking in the locality to get fresh air.
