Guftgu held in Jamia Nagar this Saturday was a huge hit.
Earlier, Jamia Collective had invited an alumnus of the National Law School, Bangalore and Columbia University, Warisha Farast, who practices law in Delhi to its Guftgu to be held on March 4 at Saiyidain Manzil, 267A Gulmohar Avenue, Tikona Park.
Warisha wowed the audience with her riveting lecture. Many Plasma students were also present.
“It was a hit event. Students came to know a lot about the subject of how law has alternatively been used as a tool of emancipation and oppression. The event organisers are doing great service by holding the talk in Jamia Nagar. Kudos to Iqbal bhai,” said Rizwan Khan, Plasma director.
Warisha has over the years explored the intersections between law, politics and society, and is interested in understanding how law has alternatively been used as a tool of emancipation and oppression.
Jamia Collective is a recently initiated platform of artists, intellectuals, journalists and activists to promote diversity, pluralism and constitutional values and it actively engages with citizens of the Jamia area.
