Congress candidate Pervez Alam Khan is moving from house to house, pleading residents to give him one chance to serve the locality as he is the party’s candidate from ward number 102S Abul Fazal Enclave.
He said being active in local politics for the last many years he has a fair idea how to develop the locality. “If voted to power and hope that resident will do so, I assure them to work for the development of the locality and address local issues, like garbage dump, sanitation and health and others,” he said.
Surrounded by his supporters at Dolphin House on a hot Monday afternoon in Shaheen Bagh, Pervez is seen discussing strategies with his close aides how to win hearts and minds of voters. With only a few days left, Pervez is aware of the fact that he and his team have to work overtime to reach as many people as possible to convince them about his work and how he can transform the locality for good.
Besides posterbaazi in the locality, Pervez like other candidates is also going door-to-door to woo voters, holding several rallies to impress the voters.
Before taking plunge into active politics, Pervez was associated with India’s leading TV channel as a photographer. Moreover, he was also post bearer in Zakir Nagar RWA. Locally active, he is known to be close to former Congress MP Sandeep Diskhit.
Pervez is from Bihar and has been living in the locality for several years well aware of local problems.
