When it comes to Palestinian cause then there are many in Okhla to shed tears for them.

Moreover, from time to time they even hold huge protests in solidarity with the Palestinians. Despite all these actions, they are nowhere near actor Kal Penn who grabbed headlines by his magnanimous act and it is this that overnight has catapulted him to a star with his naming going viral on the social media.

Penn, who donated his $25,000 prize for winning MasterChef Showdown to the UN Palestinian refugee agency, UNRWA and by doing so he highlighted the suffering of Palestinians to the national stage in US.

Besides actor, Penn is a former White House official under President Barack Obama has also urged his 270,000 Twitter followers to donate to UNRWA. “Palestine refugees make up 44 per cent of the world’s protracted refugee population,” the Harold & Kumar star said in a tweet. Following which Penn has been called a winner by US UNRWA office that also thanked him.

Since the news broke, many people in Okhla have been found sharing the post on their timeline.

“Thank you Sir. One does not to be Muslims to show solidarity for innocent people. The entire country cannot be held responsible for some group’s activities. Ordinary people are suffering most,” wrote one user.
