Parking facility opened at NFC after years of delay

Parking facility opened at NFC after years of delay. The underground parking at New Friends’ Colony inaugurated today at 10 am. Local leaders and residents were present at the project site that has been delayed by more than seven years.

It is understood that the parking facility will ease out parking at Julaina, Surya Hotel, Escorts hospital and NFC Shopping centre.

Councillor Indu Mawai was present and is understood to have played roles in getting it started against all odds. Ex MLA Subash Chopra was also present, according to participants.

Residents have welcomed the opening of the parking facility. “This is a good move and it will only solve parking problem of the residents. We hope that it will help improve parking facility in the locality. Earlier, residents used to park their vehicles on roadside. It is understood that from now onward they will be using this parking facility keeping the road clear,” said resident Javed Iqbal Khan.

Many residents lamented the delay in opening of the parking facility.
