OT IMPACT: Know who the real hero is

It was a few days ago on February 17 when OT carried a report about the felled divider in Abul Fazal Enclave after a road accident, leading to inconvenience to commuters. A few days after filing the report, OT reporter visited the spot to see the status quo.

otimpactFinding the divider in the same position, the reporter took a photo. And it was after this that a man (who introduced himself as Nathu Singh) walked and said the divider has been like this for days. The man said several minor accidents have taken place. When asked why nobody has lifted it, he said it can be done.

“For days I have been thinking of lifting it. And it is not a difficult thing to do. I run a shop in Nai Basti and I have a machine to do this work, said Singh showing little interest to be quoted or being photographed.

Later on in the evening, a resident called to inform OT that the divider as been lifted. Interestingly, a day earlier a few metres from the spot a political aspirant had called a meeting to discuss: How the future councillor should be. In that meeting were many people also who were well aware about the felled divider.
