Open urinal is cause of concern in this part of Okhla. As you walk to the auto stand on Batla House road you can find this hard hitting message written on the wall to discourage people who are habitual open urinal offender.
“The stink makes thing really difficult for auto wallah and phat phat sewa drivers as well as commuters who stand here waiting for their vehicles. We did all to discourage people from peeing in the open. However, the message till now has fallen on deaf ears of some people who pee in the open,” said a resident.
Peeing in public and on wall is nuisance not only in this part of Okhla but at other places. Earlier many commuters had lamented that one can come across bad odour while coming down through the small over-bridge built for commuters just at the end of New Friends’ Colony joining Ashram. Several commuters are seen peeing on the wall just as you get down from the staircase. The situation is such that one cannot pass from that area.
The biggest problem for officials is that despite urinating in public being an offence it is extremely difficult to issue spot challans in several localities of Delhi.
