Okhla’s boundary redrawn; new wards born

With the civic agencies elections a few months away, the Delhi government has finally notified delimitation of 272 wards with the composition of wards in each Assembly constituency varying unlike before.

As per the mandate, the municipal polls are required to be completed before April 27.

While Kalkaji has 3 wards Tughlakabad, Badarpur and
Okhla will have 3, 5 and 6 wards respectively, reported PTI.

The new announcement only means that more candidates will be trying their luck in the upcoming local poll from Okhla with many prospective candidates already girding up for the moment.
Moreover, online and offline activities in the locality have increased with activists backing prospective leaders trying their best to win hearts and minds of the voters.
