Okhla reels under oppressive heat

India, including New Delhi and Okhla, is reeling under oppressive heat. Okhlaiites like Delhiites woke up today to hot morning with the weather soaring up in the afternoon reaching 42 degree Celsius.  On Saturday, the temperature was the highest in the season till now.

Weathermen have predicted that the mercury will rise up to 43 degrees Celsius. Moreover, there is forecast of dust raising winds during the day

“The minimum temperature recorded at 8.30 AM was 24.3 degrees Celsius and the humidity was 37 per cent,” a MeT official said. A few people have died of heat waves in other parts of the country.
