Okhla-headquartered students’ body march to MHRD for Najeeb

A peaceful protest march for justice for Najeeb Ahmad, who went missing from JNU campus for the last four months, was taken out led by Najeeb’s mother Najeeb Fathima Nafees from the Press Club of India to MHRD, Shastri Bhawan on February 22 at 2:00 pm, according to release issued by SIO.

The purpose of the protest was to remind the Government, JNU authority and the Delhi Police to take necessary steps to find Najeeb, a research student of School of Biotechnology, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), who hailed from Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, said Syed Azharuddin, national secretary, SIO headqurtered in Okhla.

We demand justice for Najeeb Ahmad through immediate and effective investigation, he said.

Najeeb had gone missing from his hostel after allegedly having a brawl with ABVP members on the campus.
