Okhla MLA Amanatullah grilled for 3 hours; 33 questions asked

Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan was summoned by the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) today over alleged recruitment scam in Delhi Waqf Board that was dissolved by Lieutenant Governor Najeeeb Jung a few days ago. Following which MLA Khan lost his chairmanship of the Waqf Board and since his sacking he has cried foul vehemently denied the allegations against him.

On Friday, Okhla MLA Khan was grilled for three hours at the ACB office and asked thirty-three questions. This was confirmed by Okhla MLA Khan to this portal. He said he was asked several questions like how many people from Jamia Nagar were in the Board.

Also, he wrote this on his timeline: “आज LG नजीब जंग साहब की ACB ने मुझसे 3 घंटे पूछताछ की 33 सवाल पूछे ये वही सब सवाल थे जिनके जवाब मैं पहले ही दे चुका हूँ लिखित मैं भी देचुका हूँ पर आज ACB को आज मेने भी एक कंप्लेन दी वक़्फ़ बोर्ड मैं जो घोटाले 93 से अबतक हुए उनकी जाँच एसीबी करे और वक़्फ़ बोर्ड की 1100 bigha ज़मीन पर जो क़ब्ज़ा हुआ है उसकी जाँच हो उसपर मोल कैसे बन गए 5 स्टार होटल कैसे बन गए किन लोगो की ज़मीन है ये पता क्या जाये”

Officers version could not be ascertained.

Earlier, Raj Niwas said in a statement: “In view of the deliberate and persistent acts of illegality, violation of rules, allegations of corruption, possibility of malafide, etc., the whole matter related to the Delhi Waqf Board is referred to the CBI for investigation.”

Moreover, two members too had resigned from the Board alleging scam. Khan had refuted it and said: “It’s a new ploy and they are colluding with LG. They wanted me to serve their interests which I refused. Everything will be clear in next few days.”
