Okhla MLA Amanatullah’s bail plea rejected

Okhla MLA Amanatullah’s bail plea rejected. Okhla AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan, who was arrested after a woman alleged that she was threatened at his house in Batla House an allegation rubbished by the MLA, he was presented at the Saket Court where his supporters too had gathered. Reports have surfaced that the MLA’s bail plea rejected.

Amanatullah Khan arrestedEarlier there was confusion over the issue with some channels running report that the MLA got the bail. Now it has surfaced that he has been sent in one day in custody. The hearing will be held tomorrow.

He was arrested from his Batla House resident this morning. And as the report of his arrest was shared on the social media his supporters turned up at the Jamia Nagar police station.

Also, announcements were made on mike to turn up outside the police station to mount pressure, said residents. After holding protest outside the station for a few hours, AAP workers and leaders moved to Sarita Vihar-Shaheen Bagh Road. They blocked the road creating traffic jam. Later on they moved form that place and took a bus to Saket Court where police had announced to present him.

Many AAP workers marched to the Saket Court. The arrest was criticized by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other AAP senior leaders. In Jamia Nagar many residents, including AAP workers, were left stumped with the development.

It is understood that MLA Khan was even not allowed to wear sleepers while the arrest was being made, claimed a tweet.
