This Okhla MBA grad left well-paying job years ago to start his business.

Mudassir Ali is just 31-year-old and owns a well-decked up showroom of clothes in Batla House. He is a first-generation entrepreneur.

damas“My father is a senior Government employee and all my family members are into job. I am the first in my family to take a plunge into business,” Ali, who did his MBA from Amity, told OKHLATIMES.COM

After leaving a well-paying job two years ago, Ali with his wife Nazia Kalam, who studied M Pharma at Jamia Hamdard, started the business so as to be self dependent. Both husband and wife sit at the shop located in the main Batla House market from 11 am to 9 pm.

“We keep best Pakistani designer suits in our shop. Readymade, unstitched and semi-stitched are available in the shop at reasonable price. Out biggest USP is that we are extremely friendly with customers and make sure that they feel at home. Also, we have floated group on WhatsApp and a Facebook page to keep our customers informed about the latest arrival,” said Ali, who also has more than three years of experience in digital media.

A Joga Bai resident, Ali said he is thankful to his father who provided all the monetary support to start such a wonderful showroom. “My father-in-law too has been in business for long. And I get guidance from him from time to time,” said Ali.
