Road rage incidents are common in Delhi. The case in point is an incident that took place with Okhla-based 35-year-old man Iqbal Raza in Gurgaon. After the complaint, an FIR has been lodged against the duo.
The TOI reported that the incident took place on Thursday morning when Iqbal was on his way to his office in his Etios Lava. It was at DLF Phase 1 when two accused youths rammed their car into his car. When Iqbal confronted the youth by stepping outside his car he accused, along with his friend, beat him up and fled.
Following the incident an FIR was registered against the accused under sections 279 (negligence driving), 323 (causing hurt), 336 (endangering the lives of others), 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC at DLF phase 1 police station. Road rage incidents are not new. Okhla residents still remember when a local doctor was beaten up by a few youths in Abul Fazal Enclave from the same community. The doctor had collapsed after the attacked and he was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
Besides, a bus driver was attacked by two youths in Batla Hosue years ago over not giving pass. Across Delhi, the media unfailingly reports about road rage incident.
