Whereabouts of missing Jamia alumnus and Okhla activist Sheikh Jilani remain a mystery

The whereabouts of Jamia Millia Islamia alumnus and Okhla activist Sheikh Jilani continue to be a mystery. It was on January 31 when he left his home in Nizamuddin to offer prayer at a mosque in dargah and since then he has gone missing, according to Jilani’s cousin Danish.

He told OKHLATIMES.COM that after offering the prayer he came out of the mosque and met a few people, but didn’t return home. “There were two people with him. Family members are praying for his well-being and really worried about his health,” said Danish.

When asked whether FIR was lodged, he said only a complaint has been filed in a local police station. Some activists and residents are to visit the Nizamuddin Police station to mount pressure on the authority to file an FIR in the case.
