What is the novel all about? Jamia student Somaya Iqubal Khan, who is a final year MSW student in the Department of Social Work at Jamia Millia Islamia, throws light on her book that is to be released on February 25 at Surajkund Ground, Faridabad, at 12 pm.
“I have come with my second novel titled as NUHA Some Dreams are Too Pretty to Live.
“The novel is an inspiring story that brings out the impeding issue of mental health among the young generation.
“This is an honest story where a 21-year-old young girl, who is traumatized because of the death of her eldest sister. Her life is further entangled in a bad relationship which further worsens depression.
“After an important realization, her life takes a turn and she finds the important purpose of her life in helping the people who are suffering the same in their life. She takes up social work and writing to cope up with her issue.
“The book brings out the most important aspect of a person’s life that we tend to forget, to find and act on the purpose of our life,” said Khan, who also gives talks at different schools, colleges and other youth groups to create awareness and work with them to cope up with the changing dynamic of personal and professional lives.
