Night outages, weather add to woes of Shaheen Bagh A block residents: The frequent power cuts in A block of Shaheen Bagh making life very tough, writes Hasan Arshi.

No one is helping the residents in getting the issue resolved. In this humid weather we are suffering a lot due to long and daily power cuts. The worst part is that the power cuts are mainly happening at night.

OKHLATIMES reports that the power situation had improved in the last few months after several complaints were filed. Moreover, new transformers too were parked in several parts of the locality to address the issue. However, on and of power cuts continue to bother residents in some parts of the locality that is deprived and lacks in basic amenities.

A few months ago several residents in Shaheen Bagh had complained of regular power cut. The situation was reportedly bad in the first week of Ramzan but later on things improved. The portal was unable to independently verify the claim the reader Hasan Arshi. However, several residents lamented that the power situation is yet to be hundred percent perfect.

The worst hits are those who don’t have inverter. And with humidity high when it is not raining, many residents battle power cut at night. To address the situation, the city government did take several steps.
