The Delhi Government passed a resolution today in the Assembly hailing Khan as a “martyr.”

Khan’s family members, including his two daughters, who were present in the House during the discussion broke down as the CM Arvind Kejriwal spoke. The CM demanded that the case be referred to “an appropriate” House committee, reported PTI.

Also, two minutes silence was observed in the memory of Khan. The Delhi Government announced a compensation of Rs 1 crore whereas the Home Ministry announced Rs 25 lakh.

Also, Kejriwal said man related to NDMC legal advisor’s murder being shielded.

Khan was shot dead last month in Johri Farm. And a few people were arrested. Shockingly the killers turned out to be locals who were hired to kill Khan a day before he was scheduled to pass the final order on the lease terms of hotel ‘The Connaught’ which was functioning on a property leased by the civic body.

On his death some local Okhla activists had demanded compensation for his family. Later on Arvind Kejriwal visited Johri Farm where he met the family. It is another story that the media was not allowed inside the house, alleged other AAP activists who too were not allowed to interact with the CM.
