Family members of missing Najeeb Ahmad, a JNU student, have reached Patna to hold demonstration peacefully to create awareness among the people of the State and political parties there, according to reliable source.
It is understood that like in Uttar Pradesh where the family members had held several peaceful rallies recently to attract political parties’ attention, they are in Bihar this time around to drum up support.
Since Najeeb who had gone missing from the JNU campus from October 2016 after a brawl allegedly with a ABVP members, his family members, students and activists have been peacefully protesting to mount pressure on the Government to expedite hunt Najeeb.
It is another story that despite several attempts by the Delhi police, the whereabouts of Najeeb is still a mystery.
The Delhi police even announced to award Rs 10 lakh to person giving information about Najeeb, but no breakthrough has taken place in the case till now.
Recently, a report surfaced that Najeeb lookalike was detained from a place in Delhi. However, later on he turned out to be somebody else.
Initially after the news of Najeeb gone missing from JNU had surfaced, the family members had moved to Zakir Nagar.
They met several politicians, including Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal, Asaduddin Owaisi for supporting their cause.
