INL, Delhi general secretary Mozammil Hussain has been elected as executive committee member of “Delhi State Muslim Majlis e Mushawrat “ a State Unit of All India Muslim Majlis e Mushawrat (AIMMM) on Sunday.
Majlis-e-Mushawarat, a chapter of All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat, was held on Sunday at the Mushawarat Meeting Hall in Jamia Nagar in which two-year report and statement of accounts was presented and elections of the new team for 2017-2018 were held.
In the presence of two-thirds of attending members of Delhi state, the General Secretary Sayyed Tahseen Ahmad presented the highlights of progress of last two years of the Mushawarat’s state chapter whereas Mansoor Ahmad the Secretary Finance presented the statement of accounts. The progress made by the DRMM was generally found impressive.
Then, the Delhi president Abdul Rashid Agwan made his concluding remarks and handed over the chair to the retired IAS officer and member of the Central Executive Committee of AIMMM Khwaja Mohammad Shahid to conduct elections to the new state committee as the Returning Officer.
Finally, Agwan was declared re-elected as the state president and 12 members, including 7 new faces, as new executives. Elections were held by secrete ballot.
Navaid Hamid, president of AIMMM, who was also present in the meeting at its flag end, congratulated the elected team and briefly addressed the members about challenges before the Mushawarat.
According to the procedures of the Mushawarat, the state president will soon nominate 6 additional members of the committee and then the other office bearers to complete the team.
