Murder case of Aslam solved; accused who spent night at GB Road after committing crime arrested

A sensational murder case of Aslam in a crowded area of Gali No. 17 of Chauhan Bangar Jafrabad, has been solved with the arrest of 3 accused people, claimed police.

It was on February 13 late night when a PCR call regarding the incident of firing and shifting the injured to hospital was received at police station Jafrabad with the injured being later identified as Aslam, a resident of Jafrabad, said police.

Aslam could not survive the attack as doctors declared him brought dead. He had sustained bullet injuries after he was shot at several times on his neck, chest and stomach, said police.

The attack on Aslam took place when he was visited the place to meet a friend and was waiting for someone on his bike, said police, adding that it was then that two-bike borne men came and started firing indiscriminately, said police, adding that the assailants after firing over 10-15 rounds and 8-9 bullets hit Aslam fled from the spot.

Preliminary probe revealed that the assailants knew about Aslam visiting the area

Police initiated a probe into the case.

The assailants were identified as Imran and Nafees by the eyewitnesses, said police. Following which a team was formed to nab the culprits and to solve the case. Various raids were organised at the residence and hideouts of the culprits, they managed to escape, however, on February 19 one accused was arrested and CCL was apprehended respectively in connection with harbouring the culprits and it was revealed that after the brutal murder of Aslam, the accused persons had spent the night at GB Road, said police.

On a tip-off, police arrested Kartar also.

The accused are under 3 days PC for further interrogation.
