An incident of crime in the Capital will certainly send chills down your spine. Also, it will make you think how devilish one can go over money. The case in point is a murder of a property dealer that took place in Seelampur over an issue involving Rs 5 lakh.
According to a report by The Hindu, the Delhi Police cracked the case by arresting three people on the charges that they allegedly shot Athar Abbas dead on October 4 and then made an attempt to burn the body and dump it in a gunny bag.
Three people, all Muslims, were arrested by police for shooting him at a point blank range after getting him drunk, said police, adding that the mastermind is absconding. It has been reported that when Abbas insisted of returning his Rs 5 lakh that the other person had borrowed from him the accused hatched a conspiracy to kill him.
They allegedly also poured molten plastic over his head to prevent identification of the body before putting it in a gunny bag, reported the daily. It was during their way to dump his body by a two-wheeler that the accused were stopped by police officers.
